Why Pacer Prep?

Pacer Prep is a residential basketball program designed to help scholarship-level basketball players achieve their dream of playing college basketball. Housing is provided as part of the program fee.

There are many kids who think they are good enough to play college basketball, and they wonder why they haven't had an offer. One word answers that question: exposure.

At Pacer Prep we have several ways of guaranteeing exposure:

1. We play in 3 or more National Tournaments, guaranteeing maximum exposure to both competition and college coaches.
2. We play against some of the best competition in Post Grad basketball. The better they are, the better you become.
3. Interaction with college coaches: we will be in contact with college coaches and inviting them to our practices. This will give you an opportunity to meet and talk to these coaches.

About Us

Our experiences with post-grad programs helped us launch Pacer Prep Academy. As owners of a Functional Core Training facility working with all aspects of the active community, Coach Hayward Statum and partner Krista Kurvits have secrets to skills development, strength training and proper body mechanics.

Coach Statum has 7 years' experience coaching both high school and AAU, along with 1 year of skills development with the Heat Academy out of Martinsville,VA. Over 25 of his former players and clients are playing college basketball, D1, D2 and D3.
